CPL have long been established as specialist custom moulders with a history in the industry that can be traced back over 50 years. This experience and knowledge base is on hand for designers with new or existing requirements and you can be assured that if it can be dip moulded then CPL can produce it.
The skill level at CPL is of a high standard and with a high precision engineering background in the shape of Cove Industrial Enterprises Ltd, tools and jigs are capably and quickly produced.
The excellent insulating properties of PVC along with dip moulding's low cost and speedy tooling has made this form of moulding very attractive to the electrical and related industries. The applications in this one area are many and start with simple cable gland shrouds through fuse, switch, panel mounted plug and socket boots to busbar insulation and specialist tools for the railways and overhead power line worker and equipment.
High and low volume is catered for whether it be simple small insulating boots or large reusable busbar wraps for high voltage applications. Our experience in this field is second to non and as a result we are probably one of the largest suppliers in Europe.
Dip moulding provides an opportunity for the low cost production of durable, flexible and tough PVC components in a variety of sizes and colours for all industries in a roll that is protective, enhancing or as an end product in itself. Additionally the PVC may be applied directly to the end product such as protective padding on wire forms or as insulation on busbar systems.
In addition, prototyping for components that will eventually be produced by another process is also a stronghold of dip moulding due to the time and cost savings that are possible at the development stage. This may not always be practical for production runs but for rapid prototyping and small volume lead runs the process cannot be beaten in terms of speed and financial savings.
